Miguel Ángel Díaz Gutiérrez
I studied my Bachellor's degree in Universidad Autónoma de México (UNAM) in Mexico City, then I persued a first master's degree in the same university in the Chemistry Institute under the supervision of Dr. José Enrique Barquera Lozada, the projects I developed in Mexico were related to the magnetic behaviour of organometallic compounds containing Lanthanides and Actindes using relativistic DFT as the main tool.
In 2023 I moved to Spain to carry out my second master's degree in the program Erasmus Mundus Theoretical Chemistry and Computational Modelling (EM-TCCM). I was an Erasmus Mundus + scholarship holder.
In 2025 I began my PhD studies enrolled in Universidad Complutense de Madrid and affiliated to IMDEA Nanoscience under Dr. Felipe Zapata Abellán supervision. My current research interests are related to attosecond physics/chemistry by developing relativistic models for photoionization in heavy atoms containing molecules.
