I finished my bachelor’s degree in Physics and Chemistry at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2021. I performed my bachelor’s thesis at the Institute of Bioengineering of Catalonia, where I combined Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and Fluorescence Microscopy (FM) to study adhesion ligands in eukaryotic cells. I then started a master’s degree in Biophysics at UAM, during which I used AFM-FM to study genome release of adenovirus particles upon the application of chemical stress. My current project at IMDEA Nanociencia is to use AFM-FM to describe quantitatively the interaction between bacteria and nanofabricated bactericidal topographies.
