A PhD position is available in the group Nanoarchitectonics on Surfaces, led by Prof. David Écija, at IMDEA Nanociencia. The group is dedicated to the design, characterization and understanding of quantum organic, metal-organic and inorganic materials. To this aim, it counts with an excellent research infrastructure comprising three state-of-the-art ultra-high vacuum (UHV) systems.

We are looking for a talented highly motivated candidate to carry out a doctorate in the area of nanostructured materials for biomedical applications. The researcher will contribute to the development of novel flexible neural interfaces and their physical and chemical characterization. By using nanofabrication, this project seeks to optimize stimulation applications in the neural system.
